Vintage Treasures

I stopped in at the corner antique store and found so many interesting pieces! Amelia was in Idlewild with Grandma and Grandpa for the weekend. It's amazing what a difference not having a 6 year old in an antique store can make. I was checking out thinking 'wow! I found more than ever before!' then I realized it's probably because I actually took my time and looked through as many baskets of jewelry as I could without worrying about Amelia knocking over a $50 antique vase. hahaha

The earrings in the picture are made with parts of an antique necklace that I found. I added brass filigree and czech crystals. A pair already sold on my Etsy site!

The picture of Amelia was taken by my mom in Idlewild. It's Amelia sitting by a little area of water. My mom made Amelia in color and the backgroung in black and white to symbolize Amelia's ability to block out everything around her while she's enjoying nature. Very creative mom! My mom makes cards and teaches classes. Here's her blog http://celebrationmoments.typepad.com/

Have a great day!

Beautiful!

And I know the feeling -- as much as you love them, a kid-free afternoon makes you feel like you suddenly have super powers!

Oh, those earrings are gorgeous. YOu are quite talented to be able to make new and beautiful pieces from old and forgotten beauties.
I'd LOVE a weekend without my boy. Heck, I'd love 8 hours without him!
