Etsy Love!

It's the article that Etsy did on me in the Success Stories Series. They asked great questions that I hope will be a help for other Etsy sellers.

Couldn't have done it without all of you. I love you man!!

Julie! Great interview! Congrats!! I can't imagine listing 5 items each day, whew!! (But I work full time too, since that's not really conceivable I guess! lol) Anyway, nice job! Going to look at your shop again now....

Grats Julie!
I love to read these success stories, and love to hear advices form "old and wise" Etsians.

Meanwhile, I have one more question, that I always miss from the Storque interviews.

Do you have a kind of role model (outside of Etsy), whom jewelry you like? Who is he/she? And why?

For example mine is the israeli designer, Ayala Bar, because she is so innovative and mixes various styles in a perfect way.

Wishing beautiful days,
Judit Wild (vadjutka.etsy.com)

Hi Judit! Thanks for reading the article :)

Great question too! I think it's great to have a role model, but I really don't have one. I try not to look around too much. I used to in the beginning and it was too hard for me to get the ideas of other designers out of my head to move on with my own designs. I had a hard time making that seperation and felt like my designs may look too much like someone elses (I know it's inevitable though since there are only so many beads out there!).

I do however get inspiration from other artists and from God and the nature around me that he's created. I have a tree in my yard that has inspired 2 different necklaces. When I see a color combination on a painting or on fabric I've been known to use it in a design or two. It's a great feeling when that inspiration hits and you know exactly what you're going to do with it, isn't it!?

You're jewelry is so pretty. I wish you continued success on Etsy. :)
